Not sure if this is the place but here goes. Looking for the rest of the story of PILOT designed built and launched on Ballast Point San Diego in 1907. Had the story all the time of how she came to be but it was not told to all until 2000 in the Mans'l Haul but what was missing was where is she or what happened. The young builder, James R. Sweet, was also the Beacon Tender of the Lighthouse Service, starting and raising his family there on Ballast Point. He later resigned to start his boat building business in down town San Diego. Where did she go?
