Watched the DVD "Hide Away" with Josh Lucas from the rental store new releases. A very refreshing alternative to sailboat slasher horrors that seem to be too common, Maybe only the original Knife in the Water should have been made, then the gothic Weight of Water.

But Hide Away was a movie worth watching. The director Chris Eyre is almost a cinematic Joseph Conrad. He chronicles a life through the camera that you would not have wanted to live or know and without judgment you are still struck by the beauty. Ayelet Zurer is fascinating too.

It's on my list. I can't remember the name of the film critic, but he said that Josh Lucas was a new Paul Newman for the new Century because he makes it look so effortless.

And yes, from the trailer Ms. Zurer is luminous.
