Another example of lack of integrety
I'm clearing out my house and workshop.
I put about 4 rather nice pieces of antique furniture out on the nature strip for anyone to take.
The drop top top desk went to a neighbour, the glass fronted bookshelf went,
There was a lovely old kauri pine rocking chair and a solid english oak dressing table with delicate turned legs and matching mirror.
Well this old bloke rocks up and askes if I'm selling or giving them away.
I said take em, I'm just de cluttering.
Then he spots the miners couch and 19th cent garden table on my porch, and askes me if they are going out too.
I said no, they live on the veranda.
So he takes the chair.
Comes back 30 min later and wants the dressing table. No problem. he says he restores them and gives them away (right, even I'm not that dumb)
I dont care, said take it.
So he askes if he can have just the mirror,
I said NO.
Shame to separate the two, and if that was what I had in mind I'd have kept it myself (the mirror)
He says OK but I'll have to take them apart to get them in the car.
I said fine, heres a screw driver.
So he take the mirror off, puts it in his car and drives off.
Leaving one lovely but now mutilated dressing table for me to get rid of.
