I am copying an E-mail I've just sent to WoodenBoat in hopes that someone may come forward with information on Sarabande: smile.gif

Hello Woodenboat,
Some years ago, you had an associate editor by the name of Peter Spectre working for Woodenboat magazine. He did a piece on David C "Bud" McIntosh in the publication "WoodenBoat" of March/April 1983 Issue #51. This article entitled "Conversation with Bud McIntosh" begins on page 40.
I was wondering if he can be reached. I have what I believe is a 32-foot ketch built by Bud McIntosh in 1941 by the name of Sarabande. This article lists the boats Bud built but mine is not among them. Then there is the possibilty that this Sarabande was once known as Thunderbird. There IS a Thunderbird listed on page 49 of the same issue. But that Thunderbird is 30-foot sloop. I am trying to locate any information I can about Sarabande, and I am thinking that Mr. Spectre may have information on either the boat or anyone who might have worked with Bud during that time period.
Among the leads I have so far:
1) A man named Gordon Swift worked with Bud, but I have been unable to locate "Swifty"
2) Bud McIntosh passed on Since the '83 article was written and I have heard that his younger brother and immediate family might have information on every single boat Bud built, but again, I have not been able to locate anyone yet.
If you have no information, please forward this E-mail to someone who might be able to.
Thank you, in advance, for your time in reading and replying to this E-mail.
