Is there anything good to do in Ireland? My wife and I will be there for a week this summer and I was wondering if anyone has any suggestions of things not to miss.

Thanks, Dan

If it were me, I'd hang around Leo's Tavern to catch a glimpse of Enya Brennan, then I'd get down on one knee....... never mind.

Nope... nothing good to do in Ireland. They've all got The Plague! Stay away! http://media5.hypernet.com/~dick/ubb/wink.gif

Sorry- couldn't help myself. On a serious note, I understand that the southwest coast is spectacular, particularly around Bantry Bay, but I've not been there. Try contacting the Bantry Bay Atlantic Challenge folks via http://www.atlanticchallenge.org

Have a great time.

County Cork, waterfront, boats, pubs, people,
everything is really nice......folks friendly.....at least when I left......took lots of 'em for boat rides.......

I have some friends who chartered a boat and spent time cruising along the Shannon waterways. Sounded like a great time.

Okay sounds good. Leo's Tavern (I'll propose for you), Bantry Bay, County Cork, and I'm sure we'll cross the Shannon at some point. I might try the salmon fishing too, although I don't think I own an appropriate fly rod (guess I'll have to buy one while I'm over there).

The Royal Cork Yacht Club in Crosshaven (just South of Cork City, near Drake's Pool)
is the world's oldest yacht club.

www.royalcork.com (http://www.royalcork.com)

Lots of boats and lots of sailing going on.
World's best pubs (visit Kinsale).

Whoa! My Cod man, don't do that! Whatever in the world would I do with swmbo? She somehow wouldn't understand, methinks.

No, just get her to sing for you. I'll be listening.

I've heard the trout fishing is good and available, lochs or rivers.
