I read about that the other day, (yesterday?) Kid was racing through the neighborhood at the wee hours of the morn and the neighbors decided to show him a lesson.

Thanks, Sailboy, I do not generally go to huffpo, unless something as is the case here, is linked to it.

There's a few kids I'd like to do that to around here.

Take that picture and make a few changes: two very large boles coming up from the split and the main trunk being about 80 years large; instead of a Ford Escort, a 69 Chevvy Impala, on it's side and wedged nicely between the two trunks as tho' dropped there by a careless God, and - in the background where there is a greenish fence gate - (well, really, more like half way back to the barn) a six-foot hi , three foot thick and sixty foot long rubblestone wall which backs the 60 downhill turn that people persist in taking at seventy MPH or so.

And don't forget to remove the requisite amount of wall to permit said Impala to launch itself on the proper trajectory to do the wedgie in the tree.

I'm not sure if they weren't paying attention in physics class or if they just wanted to empirically test the friction co-efficient of bald tires on a wet asphalt road, but the result of the experiment was VERY loud and VERY disconcerting.

Took the Emergency Services people about an hour to get the two idiots out of the passenger side (the "up" side) of the car.

Completely unhurt, the both of them.

Drunk as Lords and never a Fund card between them.

I like how the cops told the kid he had to remove it.

Coming home one night I saw something similar - car was about 10 feet off ground, wedged sideways in a stand of pine trees. Wouldn't have believe it if I hadn't seen. Even the next day I drove by that way to make sure I hadn't dream it. Sure enough there were scars on the trees where the car had been.
