At least there's still one thing that's a joyful experience at the United States/Canada border crossing. . .

:d

Yeah? Maybe for you. I had to turn around about a thousand feet before the duty free shop.
Can'tada ... America's Hat :D

An extra nice thing about Canadian Duty Free is that many of the sale bottles are liters instead of fifths. While Kat and I were mostly shopping quality, i.e. Grand Manier, Ron Zacapa 23, Basil Hayden, etc, etc. . . we did run across four college students buying a 4.5 liter display bottle of Jamesons for $45.00!

Nothing like a Texas Mickey to make a weekend memorable and forgettable at the same time!

So... penis? Here a mickey is a small bottle of booze, and a texas mickey is a ridiculously huge bottle of booze.

You mean like mailing myself a box of Cuban cigars from the Canada side? The Naval Dockyard where I used to work had a well equipped gym built and paid for by the employees. It was financed by buying duty-free cigarettes from sailors and reselling them outside. This was illegal and the Naval Police were well aware of it.
Unfortunately for them, the base was big enough to warrant its own post office, so the sailors simply posted the cartons of cigarettes to their home address. The NP needed a warrant to search mail, for each and every parcel so it really wasn't worth their while. Then the sailors worked out that they didn't actually have to post the cigarettes. If they wrapped them up and put a stamp on it, it became "mail" and they could walk through the gate carrying their cigarette carton shaped "mail" with impunity.

Here's (http://we-energies.com/environmental/protect_wildlife.htm) another active nest box, at the Pleasant Prairie Power Plant, Pleasant Prairie, Wisconsin. 4 eggs, due to start hatching yesterday, and I think one did.

I didn't notice a duty free fuel stop at the Port Huron crossing. . . Wrong bridge. It's at the Ambassador Bridge, where your tax dollars go directly to the owner.
