One will get a tax credit due to Obamacare if you get H.Insurance. I'm a bit confused as to whether it refundable or not. There is a 2500 tax credit for singles. My taxes, fed, have been O for several years due to being retired. I also have deductions on property taxes to off set fed taxes but it is rare that I even use them. So, what is this tax credit? What form of tax credit is it?Hey, if you don't ask, well....

Have you tried reading the bill?

I'd wait for the IRS to figure it out. Trying to figure out your taxes, by reading the health care bill, would not be wise.

What page? Is it on page 2400 or 2700.?Even congress probably has not read it yet.John. It's apparent to me you haven't read the bill either.Brain. you might be right, but I would like to have an idea what I will be facing. In general terms at least.

If you want to check, check. Or would you rather that someone else check for you, and you can just assume that they are correct?

There's an amazing amount of "answer me this" threads, or posts, these days.

The other day, someone wanted me to explain how Alaska became a State. In my own words no less.

Yesterday, someone else ask me how much the Iraq war took away from the Afghanistan effort.

Why is this happening Doug? In your own words please, and right now. I don't have time to wait around.

I'm waiting for your definitive answer on why toast always hits the floor butter side down when you drop a piece. Keith has a graph, but it's from some left-wing site...totally unreliable.

Jamie, you do realize that your team says that you are a leech, feeding off the federal teat for not paying any taxes?

It's really pretty obvious. It hits the floor because of gravity in the northern hemisphere.. If it hit the ceiling, then you'd be in Australia. But it would have Vegemite, not butter.

This is one way to tell if you've crossed the equator, but don't have a compass, which wouldn't tell you that you've crossed the equator anyways, but sounds good.

Why am I hungry now Jeff?

I don't know--but please tell me it isn't due to the Vegemite reference....:D

cc I pay what I owe. If I owed less, I'd pay it. and to the others, their responses prove to me that they don't have a clue about the answer themselves so all they can do is basically attack the messenger which is typical for the librats who have responded.I'm not surprised in the least.

my understanding at this time is that it is refundable. I am not a tax person so i have no idea how thats going to work out in the revised tax codes. I would as has been suggested wait till the IRS figures it out. I am sure they are going to let us know if its a large new drain on the coffers.

Thank you for the suggestion and I suppose you are right. Glad there is one decent person in the sludge that has accumulated in the bilge. A rarity now. Thanks
