For once I agree with norm, the colors are wrong, but wait hold it, this is american politics.
So the colors and meanings of the labels can readily change and confusion set in as to who is the good guys
and who is the bad guys. I wish they would go back to the good old days with white and black hats
so as not to be confusing as to which side you are on.

In the meantime while we are all confused, the scummy politicians are laughing all the wall to the bank on wall street.
Could this possibly be a controlled confusion of the masses for controlled results ?

The graphic is neat... but they got the colors wrong, didn't they? Shouldn't it be blue on the left, red on the right? :):)

It's because it comes from Australia, where everything is wrong side out, and upside down.......

I just shows that they don't quite get US politics. In the rest of the world, red is the color of the left. But here we sort of go back to my great-great-grandfather, Benjamine Harrison, who adopted the color blue as in "true blue Union" when he ran the last presidential campaign to "wave the bloody shirt." But it was not really adopted by news organizaitons till 2000 when Tim Russart is credited with making that graphic red/blue universal.

Seem to be created by two people.. From info at the bottom of the graphic,

David McCandless - InformationIsBeautiful.net & Stefanie Posavec - ItsBeenReal.co.uk

Check them out, they're fun!

& yes, the U.S. is 'odd man out'.. Surprised, we are? ;-)

It won't let me open your link Gary .

That seems to me, then, to be a perfect explanation.
