A historical gem. 30 ft long 1946 Bluenose Schooner replica.
All white oak with pine mast.
Sails are in good condition and most rigging is intact.
Very fast 30 horsepower gray marine inboard.
38" draft.
Needs chinking and minor patching.
Last time on lake was 2003.
Price includes double axle trailer.
A diamond in the rough.

Tancook schooners like this are what replaced those.

whalers/ schooners, two very different boats.

Tancook Island builders built schooners as well as the whalers. I have had a little to do with a schooner built by Vernon Langille, who also built "Cimba" both of them counter stern schooners. The Whalers were an older form I think intended to be hauled up on the beach of the island when weather turned nasty.

All white oak with pine mast. Surely this boat is not planked in oak.
