There are so many myths we hold dear - like “Taxachussetts” - despite the facts, but New Jersey the cleanest in the “State Integrity Investigation”?

Go to http://www.stateintegrity.org/ to find out how this could be.

Ian - good info. Thanks.

Oregon is 14th. You know.... you could have worked a little harder when you were here <G>

The story focuses on how campaign contributions are reported. The example in Michigan is the contributions made by businesses opposed to the construction of a new, publicly funded bridge across the Detroit River. It says it is impossible to tell which businesses made the contributions. The existing bridge is owned by one man, who has been quite vocal about his opposition. I guess it is difficult to tell who is opposed. It seems a pretty strange definition of "corruption".

Oregon has come a long way, like the clean-up of the Willamette. At the height of the O&C scandals, TR's administration managed to indict more than half the state and federal officials in the state.
