I've been listening to his new album, "Wrecking Ball". It's kind of angry and political with some awkward lyrics, but my God, that old man can rock. There are several glorious moments; a superb recording of Land of Hope and Dreams with (somehow) a posthumous sax solo by Clarence Clemons. I love how he takes an old song that's mostly about who isn't going to get on the train and turns it into a Universalist hymn.

And he does a really great version of an old Irish emigrant song The American Land. Not bad for a 62-year old, eh?

The forum software won't let me put in two videos; here's the link. (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sjxlRNly3Dw)

Interesting, thats kinda what I thought when I first heard Springsteen in the fall of 1978. My roommate was a fan, so I listened. I became a fan and still am. Will have to listen to the youtube.

Yeah I like it. Reminiscent of his old stuff. And the big man could always rock :-)

Cheers,

Bobby
