Wilma Lee to leave the bay

The skipjack Wilma Lee apparently will be donated to a non-profit organization in Ocracoke NC. It's a sad day for my friend John Morgenthaller who spent 4 yrs rebuilding this grand lady of the Bay. I'm sure the people on the recieving end feel like they just won the lottery.

Where was Wilma Lee based out of? I don't remember seeing her around.

She's supposed to get hauled out this am. It's a tricky thing because you have to drop the centerboard out from underneath before she gets on the cradle. A lot of water gushes in when you remove the pivot. The cb weighs about 500 lbs.
