That'd mount up to near a 1/2 ton ticket.

Gingrich and Christie - two obese "waddlers" running for the highest office in the world. Imagine that.

The Vice President is there in case the president dies.

Newt probably figures the world will cease to exist if he is no longer there to imagine it, so why would he need a vice president?

Clitasta...Clatista...what's her name?

Isn't it spelled Clitastic? He told the last wife before this one that she wasn't up to the task of making him president, but Clitastic was.

Really, I should Google the spelling of her name...

Fran Drescher. Two names should never be mentioned aloud in the bilge, Drescher is one, the other is Oprah. Consider yourself warned. . .;):d

Well he won't want someone who will show him up will he?. That limits the field somewhat.

He might like David Duke to shore up the rest of his segment of his base.

Patreaus?

Gerarddm

One would hopefully think Petreaus has more class.

Newt thinks grandiose thoughts by his own admission, so his choice might be well out of the box.

Whatever. He is literally dangerous.

Gon'na haf'ta be someone totally without scruples, someone exhibiting little intellectual curosity, yet someone able to charge up the faithful, someone like Sarah Palin.

LOL! Oh, that's good! :d Newt would make a fine Republican presidential candidate. Not quite as good as Santorum or Paul, but not bad. He would be a very, very dangerous president.

If he's the nominee, it might be worth watching (or rebroadcasting) this famous TV ad from the 1964 campaign.

I think this thread is premature. There's a way sto go yet. The spotlight always shines on the front runner, and the front runner doesn't stay in that position for long.

Gingrich is ruthless enough that if Congress remains deadlocked against him like they are against Obama, h might just declare himself Fuhrer with no need for Congress.

This thread was a joke, and an obvious play against my friend Norman's thread on Romney. <sigh>

I'm sure I can't be alone in getting it (the play on N.'s thread), but you know how it goes. Many of the threads start as a joke, get absurdly serious, then become a joke again. It is the nature of evolution in this place.
So of the joke responses to the joke, were any clever enough to ring your bell?
Tell me it's Fran!

Meanwhile, under the circumstances, some could be forgiven as the topic, on it's own and absent reference to Norm's thread, seems real enough on Sunday morning. This thing keeps being a race.

Doesn't matter. He won't be elected either way. WAAAAAY too much baggage. Hope he runs tho.
