Wow, that's some powerful stuff.

They used to show graphic films of wrecks back in the 60's when I was in driver's education but nothing like this.

heck the aussie film is unreal.
made me very sad.
very sobering.
i wish the tv stations would blitz the ad segments with a film like that. just screen it a couple of times before the viewers got used to it, and maybe the message might sink in.
i love the laconic attitude of the kiwi clip. very very good.

I bought both my lads a breathalyser for christmas. From what I've been able to glean, neither drinks and drives, but the youngest has always been concerned about when he's able to drive if he's had a beer or two with some mates. As a provisional licence holder here, he's got to have a zero BAC.

I participated in a university study in Hobart a few years back. A mate and I had gone beer for beer over a few hours in a pub. We were breathalysed. He went 0.09%.... well over the limit here of 0.05%. I went 0.03%. He's a fairly small frame. I'm not.

I had 8 schooners over 4-5 hours (pool comp night!) and I was well under the limit.
I still wouldn't have driven anywhere though.

The Legend ad has got almost cult status in just a few weeks.

The number if people I hear quoting it and the number of quotes to be had from a 1 minute film is quite amazing, especially for a public safety film.

"I've been internalising a really complicated situation in my head." - hmm, might find its way into my signature

Phew....bloody hell!
The Kombi hitting the truck is from a much older ad and I owned a Kombi at the time...very sobering.
