I know this is very scant information, but it's all I recall. This boat appeared (probably in "Launchings" at least 10-15 years ago and possibly longer) and was built by an American (serviceman?) living in the Philipines and he and his family where going to sail it back to the US IIRC. I have this vague recollection of the word "staysail" in the title or blurb on the boat, but I don't think it was about it's being a cutter. Don't recall if it was 1 mast or 2. Might have been "staysail ketch", but I'm not sure that makes sense. Garden mentioned as the designer.

Pic was of the boat under sail. A conventional looking boat - no clipper bow or pinkie stern etc.

Pics 'n pointers would be appreciated.

Have you dug through Garden's books? I'd look through mine for you, but it's not much to go on. And I'm afraid that if I started to review "Launchings" over the last 15 years I'd forget to come ip for air.

Kermit; I don't have Garden's books alas. The 28' length doesn't help? Sorry I don't have more to go on.

I could come up to Whidbey some afternoon to have a look through them if that would be OK with you. I've got those Penguin plans to show you too. Use the email link to drop me a line.
