Tom Colvin would be rolling over in his grave if not for the fact he is still living and breathing.

Whoa!

I need to learn not to misunderestimate these Florida boatbuilders so I don't get shocks like this when I open their pics.

Never mind the pix. Did you read the text?
It sounds a lot like a schooner that's being planned up in the boatbuilding dept.

Yeah. If WOT is 12 kts, then lets say cruise is 9kts. Fuel burn is 1 gal an hour. Pretty efficient.

I was being facetious. I seriously doubt she could do nine knots even at WOT. The Perkins 4-107 is usually rated at 38 hp continuous and a 20 foot waterline on a displacement boat would be hard pressed to get above seven knots WOT.

I was having some problems with some of the claims, like the horsepower, cruising speed and fuel consumption, and there are some terrible things in the rig, but there are a number of interesting things to this boat. In the right hands she could be real. Strange. Not exactly pretty though the bow is lovely. But functional, tough and fun.

Or maybe Bristol Tennessee? They're famous for boat upkeep too! :d

Will we be seeing one of those impassioned SAVE A TREASURE, A PIECE OF OUR HERITAGE FROM THE CHAINSAW pleas for this one?
