Excellent... but really, what were they thinking?

Are they trying to kill off the local library? That's a joke btw....

I've just downloaded it.... to add to the two hard copies I've bought over the years

When I first discovered that book at the library, circa 1983 or so, I spent a lot of dimes making copies of the chapters that most interested me because I couldn't afford the book. Now they give it away.

Rats!

Isn't that nice. Like the retail price was too much for a wooden boat aficionado.

The book was written to sell epoxy. The more copies there are in circulation - whether free or paid for - the more epoxy gets sold! Yah gotta love the web . . .

Score! Thanks for that link. I love having what amounts to the Library of Congress at my fingertips.

Some of you folks need to visit the library thread.

No need to get all twisted John. Its 100% on the mark. When the internet first hit my comments to clients were about what a fabulous vehicle it was to get technical information to the market. The biggest problem manufacturers have is getting their value proposition to the end user through a whole heap of diluting influencers... like retailers.

Thanks. From now on, any time I need to find out how well off I am or ever was, I'll check with you.

It's great to have to have this boat building "Bible" available as a free download, but it won't replace my epoxy fingerprint stained hard cover version. I'm on my third update. This one's still relatively clean. The first two have been donated to appreciative friends.

Now if they'd just do that to "Chapman's"!
