I'd eat horse meat. No problem at all with it.
I'll just take my chances with those salt water joys.

I would rather kill and eat them rather than watch them starve to death

Someone should do an autopsy on an animal that has starved to death..Now that ain't pretty. What happens to an animal that has starved to death internally is amazing.

I have always suspected that horse meat is quite good... not very practical though... to get 1000 lbs of meat would take 2 years as apposed to the same meat from beef in 1 year

That's because of the breeding, genetics, hormones Phillip. If Horsemeat became more popular, the number of years to produce what are produced in cows would probably be the same.

I think you might consider the source a little more... Arabians, Morgans, Belgans and a lot more... the horse doesn't go to slaughter until ie is very old... there will be no 'horse veal'.
                Consider the pet food industry

If as an outsider you were to look really closely at the horse racing industry, you could be excused for thinking that it exists to provide petfood to the nation.

I never understood why folks had a problem with killing horses or dogs for meat while doing the same to cows, pigs, sheep, etc. was OK.

doesn't your industry already use horse meat?
