Re: Still no NBA season.
I don't know a single person right now who cares about it. Even before the Sonics left town, nobody much cared around here.Comment

No, not at all. 'plantation workers'? Please.
I actually love basketball. I drive to Tuscaloosa a couple of times a year and I will even drive out to see my old school play from time to time. When I was a kid and when I was in high school it was actually my favorite sport to play.

Whoa whoa whoaaaaa. I miss the NBA. And if DavidG was here (GAWDBLESS HIS POOR-RISK-ASSESSING SOUL) then he'd be lamenting as well.
Furthermore, I am still pissed about the Sonics.Originally posted by James McMullenYeadon is right, of course.Comment

It's a good thing all those college players are getting degrees from respected houses of higher learning, or they'd just have no career prospects at all.People today will buy a car with square wheels as long as the steering wheel is heated.Comment

Re: Still no NBA season.
I was once a Celtic fan when they had McHale, Bird, Parish, and Danny Ainge. But then the Celtics got old and tired and Michael came along and changed the game. I haven't watched much basketball since Jordan's first three-peat.Last edited by Paul Pless; 11-09-2011, 03:49 PM.Simpler is better, except when complicated looks really cool.Comment

Re: Still no NBA season.
I am still a BIG FAN of the NBA Cares program/charity ...
You know, the one where NBA players go to different grade schools and the KIDS teach them to read!!!Nothing else matters but how I raise my children ... and their opinion of me, as a father.Comment
