I no longer own this boat ...sobb...
As far as I know it is still here somewhere in N.E. Ohio. I only wish that I could have found a good place to store it but these pictures were taken over ten years ago and the boat is now just a memory to me. It was a 37' sedan cruiser that actually had a very sound hull but needed extensive interior repairs which included replacing the entire front windshield. I think the project was just too much at the time with my limited resources but I think that it went to a good home. ...sobb.. For now I'll have to stick to the small boat project that I am working on now and will send pictures of in another post.

Wow  You did the right thing by finding a good home for that boat. She is a beauty. Any idea what happened to her? What the name of the boat is now or was? I live in N. E. Ohio and could keep an eye out for her and possibly let you know how she's doing if I see her.

The name of the boat was Night Moves but had been Playboy II or something like that if I remember right. The guy who bought it lived in Ravenna and supposedly had a very large building to store it and some other project boats. I recently sold some parts salvaged from another Chris and I met a guy who knows a guy with the same model that had been totally restored. Talk about having your heart sink :(
I still have the pictures he sent me. Maybe I will send them to this post for you to see.

Win-wood, I had a 1939 37ft. Chris sedan identical to yours and sold it in 1993? to a fellow in who keep it in Port Clinton I think. Great boat, had twin Chrysler Crowns in it which make it very unique. Boat was in great shape when I sold it and of course I always wondered how it was doing kind of like one of your kids. Boat name was Reprise . If you know anything about it please let me know..............Pete

I live about half way between Ravenna and Port Clinton and attend as many wooden boat shows around here as I can. I'll keep my eyes and ears open for both boats. I'd think they would kinda stand out. :D

Hey Pete!
This kid one of yours?? http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid31/p9941e9d70bee26ab5c8870f39467c9a0/fd4930ec.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid31/p2391d5a070af1995940023342f748c27/fd4930dd.jpg http://www.imagestation.com/picture/sraid31/p7e797845b757615489a7242a2ab0f524/fd4930be.jpg
I'd say Reprise is alive and doing very well!
It's a small world isn't it? Or are these sedans just that scarce nowadays?
This is from my story about a guy who knew a guy...
These are the pictures that just make me want to cry. :( I don't know anything about the owner but I have his friends e-mail address if you would like to contact me for it. Maybe you could be reunited with your long lost loved one. I think that these pictures were either taken this spring or last summer some time. What a beauty!!!

 Now all we gotta do is find Your baby win_wood. I think I may have seen "Reprise" at the Lyman Boat Owners Association All Wooden Boat Show in Huron, Ohio last August. It's an awesome show put on By the LBOA that's open to all wooden boats. I can't remember the name for sure but that boat looks familiar. Like I said they stand out from the rest. :D

Thats my baby. Kind of makes me want to cry. The guy I sold it to painted the vinyl on the cabin roof that dark green. He also lamenated 3/16 mahogney planking so the cabin sides. The original were painted white and had been patched and dutchmaned a few times by ahhum......me. He wanted the original varnish. He also replaced a portion of the aft port chine. But what a great boat. I spent lots of time bringing her back cosmetically inside and out. Replaced the original canvas deck and cabin top covering with vinyl. Boat was quiet and gracefull. Has 4 roll up and down windows in the salon and they worked perfectly. I could go on and tell lots of history about the old girl but then I'll just get senimental.........Thanks for finding her and yes I would like to email the current owner..............Pete
