Gentlemen,
I've contacted Dave Gentry about one of his skin on frame designs (the Shenandoah Whitehall) and will be building it as my winter project.
Thought I'd post and say thank you for the great resource this site has been to this lurker.

I hear y'all. First I'm headed to Atlanta to pick up some cedar lumber (as it stands now I have an empty basement and new blades on the table and band saws) and then I'll start posting progress reports.

What species of cedar are you hunting? CAG lumber up in Cornelia has a good bit of Juniper (aka Atlantic White Cedar).
Nice to see another boat being built down this way.

White cedar will work. Is there advantage of one kind over the other? My main concern was that it be clear and that I can fit it in/on my van.
