"I had a Family Member take my advice and clear out of BOA a couple of weeks ago. Told me there was a line of people closing their accounts as they were separating them from other business. They just dropped back into the fives on stock price so if you deal with them might be a grand time to reconsider"

No, this is not due to everyone pulling their money online at the same time. Uh uh. Not at all. Nosireebob. And no, those rumors that BofA will charge you $4.99 to access your account online are just that - rumors. At least for now.

Luckily, if you want to access your online account, you can. Oh wait, we meant to say you can't.

WONDERFUL NEWS... I hope the bast#rds have a big run and are forced into bankruptcy.

Right along with JP Morgan, Goldman Sachs, Wells Fargo and Citi Bank...

If we could break these 5, we could bring the economy right back with small banks on main
street and not wall street. It would solve the derivative market as well...Oh, let's not forget freddie and fannie..

Jaimie Dimon and Blankfin are Obamas best buddies. Those guys are safe from just about anything short of revolution and the gallows. One can hope though.

bait and switch, credit cards are going to be made more attractive, and the rest of the banks are already starting to follow.

The credit fairness act opened as many loopholes as it closed, not really fair at all, unless you are big bank.

In god we trust, all others must pay cash.

No sweat, BOA Execs all got their bonuses for 2010m, and are eagerly anticipating the same for 2011, no matter what customers think, just proving once again that if they kiss enough Stockholder a--, they'reTeflon.

The fix? JAIL SOME BANK EXECS!

From what I heard, the BoA bean counters have already taken mass Exodus into account. A certain number of people will stop doing business with BoA, and they will still make money off the people that remain under the new rule.

I said to my dad, "Why you so broke?"Not like he's poor. BOA. and Citi. I said, make me power of Attny. I WILL make a deal or file bankruptcy. He is paying bills from when Mom was here, with her income. His car is going to be junked, and I will be the driver to his shopping and running around.UGH He said he called and BEGGED them to lower the bills. NOPE. I had him change everything on his card.....EAT THE BANKERS.

Well this is starting to get a tad disturbing. When BofA gets its site up, it would be very helpful if it could please notify its clients how much of the $1 trillion in deposits as of June 30, 2011 it has left as of end of close today?

Tyler,
Why does anyone ever take you seriously?
Chicken Little, as usual, is running around shrieking that the sky is falling.

I too do not particularly like BOA--because of its support of Right-Wing policies. But just for the record, Bank of America's is making enormous profits, and BOA's online banking is operating just fine.
Have you bothered to test this, or are you not a depositor at BOA, but get your information from half-baked Right Wing sources?

(Oh damn! I forgot to put Tyler on my ignore list!)

Maybe they are being hacked by Anonymous.

If their branches started to cut back heavily on hours, or restricted withdrawals, then I think that's cause for alarm.

Actually, the story I just read said that the BOA website was on the fifth day of having issues.

Nope, not tonight.

( I logged on to BOA several times today, even though I don't like them for political reasons.)

I have all the proof I need when I access my business account. The site is available now,to anyone with a BOA account.

As far as proving it to you--why would that be necessary? You either have an account there--in which case you can check for yourself, or you don't have an account there...and if that's the case you probably wouldn't care one way or the other....

You don't have to prove it to me but to avoid looking like a zombie. Actually I am glad you still are with BOA. Please continue to do so. :)

Hmm ok if you all say so... I don't have any love for banks but I have a business checking, a personal checking and two or three credit cards through BOA I have been doing online transactions every day for the past week and no problems here including several hours I spent on Monday comparing invoices against account debits. I'm sure your experiences vary, but I have been doing business with BOA for close to 20 years with only one problem concerning a lost deposit 10 years ago ( they found it in 2 hours). I mainly stay with BOA because they clear paper deposits in my business account within 24 hours often the same business day and nearly seamless electronic transactions between US and Canadian currencies. I won't have to pay the $5 debit card fees but for the amount of transactions I move through BOA, The $5 wouldn't be enough for me to move my accounts.
