I posted an inquiry/desire for a 16-18 foot + - runabout design with some flair perhaps like an Aristocraft Torpedo (14) or something with tail fins. Ken Mcclure was kind enough to respond and suggest one of Ed Monks designs. Anyone have any study plans of such boats with the ability to load an image or fax to me 860 228-2568 or email to me? Thanks, Mitchell in CT

Those plans were published in a book by Ed Monk that is still in print from Dover. You might be able to get it through the WoodenBoat shop, or through Amazon if they don't have it. It's a not very expensive book.

Chester -- I got Ed Monk's book, "How to Build Wooden Boats...", from Barnes and Noble. Since the book is from 1934, you're not going to find any boats with tailfins. There are are some terrific boats in there, though. My favorite runabout is "Hornet," a racing hydro by John Hacker.
Good luck.

Hi Mitchell, your post just reminded me that I owed you an enlarged (legible) table of offsets for a slipper stern runabout that I sent you info on back in November. I apologize for their late delivery. That boat might look good with a fin or two. I'll fax the table of offsets to you right now.

Mitchell:
Will fax (e-mail if possible) the complete set Wednesday.
In the mean time, there are some details about the pair in my post on thread http://media5.hypernet.com/ubb/ultimatebb.php?ubb=get_topic;f=2;t=002143
Note however, that neither of these have fins...
Bill:
Gotta agree with you about Hornet!
