Does anyone have a real building plan for vintage sailing boats to share it with me before ordering a legal one?

Can you give us more details of what you have in mind?

I'd suggest looking at the Woodenboat Store website and selecting books of designs from designers you know about or are interested in, if you are at that point. Another alternative would be to e-mail them and ask which books show plans that are still commercially available.
That way you might be able to get a look at a number of different designs/plans in that size range, and narrow down your choices before investing in a set of plans.

I have been searching but but I haven't found anything. Maybe some of the members can send me something on my expenses?

Ahoy, this is a good time to talk to the members ... Martin and I have chatted already.
Martin (please correct me if I'm wrong Mate) wants to build a boat and has seen study plans, but can't get the feel from his study plans as to what he is actually in for, with a full build. He doesn't want to over commit himself (very wise, unlike some) and find that it is beyond him.
I'm only a restorer not a builder so I'm unable to let him know what it will be like.
What I can do is scan (now I've got my scanner running again) a few details of parts of plans that I have ... not the plans only a few details, to hopefully help.
So if any other members could possibly do the same or describe what it is like doing a full build. I think this is what it is about ... how did I go Martin?
Good luck to you, you have to start somewhere and you are wise not over commiting youself without having a good understanding of what you are up against. The members know what books are worth reading, I don't.
One thing that would be excellent, would be to find a mentor who is a builder or someone who has built a boat in your home town, a person not too far away so that you can 'pick their brains' or run any hic-ups and problems past and visit when the going is difficult. A boat builder doesn't have a skill, they have the skills of many trades all rolled into one. Martin realises this and wants to build a better understanding of this.
Good luck, I take my hat off to you ... no doubt you will kick boat.
Warren.

Bud McIntosh's book "How to Build a Wooden Boat" (available from the WoodenBoat Store) would help you understand the steps, skills, etc. involved in building a sizeable wood sailboat. The table of contents can be seen here:

You can often order study plans for a much reduced price, though not from WoodenBoat. For example, the Atkin designs are sold as study plans for $10. Try googling "William Atkin".

W. Wassa said that Mr. M is familiar with study plans, so that doesn't seem to be what he's after.

ok. maybe the only way to know what you're in for is to actually build a boat.
