Walnut

On 11.24.02 The topic of Walnut in boat building was discussed in this forum. very timly for me since I am considering using some for exterior hatch trim. I would like to use Cetol for the finish, I don't have any for a trial. Does anyone have any experience using Cetol on other than Mahogany or Teak?

Walnut is pretty dark for the color tone of the cetol that is normally used on the boats. Cetol makes a clear coating and is used on outside decks and decking around houses. You may want to try some multi colors on a scrap piece before you commit to it. Are you using it inside or outside?
