Hi all,

I am looking at a boat on yachtworld.com. It is thought to be an Alden design but I am not sure. It is basically gutted and in need of complete restoration. Just wondering if anyone can shed some light on this for me.

The rest of the boat can be seen at:

Also I have never had to move a boat of this size. Is there any sort of standard on shipping costs? Like price/ft or price/lb?

Thanks all. tongue.gif

Down my way.

I've no idea of cost to haul.

It looks like an Alden hull with an interesting very non-Alden raised deck. Could be a real challenge establishing her provinence.

Take a really hard long look, measure everything you can and try to find the permanent number, and then see if you can run down the plans at Alden Co.

G'luck

Sam Crocker did some raised deck designs similar to that one, so maybe an inquiry to Crocker's Boat Yard (http://www.crockersboatyard.com/) would be of possible help.

Good luck!

Thanks all. tongue.gif Cost to haul from Maine way out on the prairie? Lots. No, make that LOTS!!!!!!!!!! of dollars. The good news is that the exchange rate today is better for you than it was this time last year.

More to the point, will the boat withstand such a long move?

I like the Crocker lead. How about a possible Atkin design?
