    TV watching is life shorting.

    I found this interesting.
There have certainly been episodes of "Real Housewives" that have made me die a little (oh, dear, and the main culprit was the Countess squawking alongside a very tolerant Natalie Cole). But who knew television could actually make your life end sooner?

22 minutes for every 60! Thats 36.66%! And I just bought a new one.

    And spell badding too.......

It's not correct to say that it shortens your life, TV sucks the life out of you.

Typical popular news media misunderstanding of the difference between correlation and causation.

An accurate headline would read: "Scientists discover a correlation between hours of TV watching and longevity."

Big freaking deal. Couch potatoes die sooner than active adults.
"They have a lot of stupid people that vote in their primaries. They really do. I'm not really supposed to say that but it's an obvious fact. But when stupid people vote, you know who they nominate? Other stupid people." -- James Carville on the plethora of low-quality GQP candidates in the mid-term election.

        COunts for forum members too.
In the US this perverted idea of “blood and soil” over “constitutional principles” is the most radical and anti-democratic and anti-Conservative idea I have heard in my lifetime.

Ha! It mightn't be good for us middle-aged types but it seems to keep the seniors going for longer.
