Has anyone tried this function?
It seems that gmail has a function where one can make calls via land line or cell. It's free through 2011 to the US and Canada.. I haven't signed up for this option yet as I am wondering whether anyone has tried it?Tags: None -

Re: Has anyone tried this function?
I set Renee's Groom Service business with a google voice number it forwards calls to any phone and you get email and texts so she never misses a client call and doesn't have to give out any personal phone number. It's printed on her van and she has an app on her iPhone that let's her make and receive calls through that number. CoolComment

Re: Has anyone tried this function?
As the phone keypad is on the 'puter screen and you use it to dial a number. I would assume that the connected call comes through the speaker(s). Hence, I don't need a literal phone to make calls. Right? I think it is a great feature but before I sign up ( even if it is free at the moment) I want to know what the process entails.

He he.
I just called my kid in the other room. It took him a while to figure out what was going on.Comment

I thought the OP was self explanatory Bruce..Just because some here are extremely grumpy and post accordingly should not reflect on my " good faith" question or a decent answer...Comment

It worked pretty well. I just dialed the number, and the phone rang in the other room. I didn't have to sign up for anything...just clicked the "call phone" button on my gmail page.Comment

Haven't you got a camera in your new Mac? They've had them for 4 years or so now.A society predicated on the assumption that everyone in it should want to get rich is not well situated to become either ethical or imaginative.
