PLEASE HELP I'm looking for any information on the Feather class saiboats. They're a 27' long, hard chine, double ended plywood sloop. I think they were built in the '50 and '60 and popular here on the west coast. Their is one for sale and I would like to know more about them before I proceed with checking it out. Any help would be greatly appreciated. I would love to see a photo if anyone has one. warrencasey@wickedtinkers.com

I hope someone answers. I am intersted too although I have never heard of the class. They sound a little like the 110, 210 designs, which were quite popular in the East after WWII.

I did sail one , in the late 60's , a friend of mine had it for several year's , we sailed in the San Fransico bay area . One night we were sailing along ( wind about 0 ) and we were passing this other boat , when the husband said " they have their engine on " , as we pasted the wife said " no they dont " .
Sorry I know nothing of the " class" , but we had lots of fun on the feather , well all except bill's wife , she alway's got sea sick , and her job was to hold the battery , as it was from the car , and we needed running light's , at night ?? , oh yea we were a lose bunch !! .
