Any thoughts on the "Storm 17"?

Kind like Oughtred's designs, sort of midway between a Whilly boat and a Caledonia yawl. You'd have to pay in sterling, and the shipping costs to get it over the pond. Kind of pricey. I think there was a company doing some Oughtred kits in Canada.

These people in London ON were supposed to be getting in doing an Oughtred kit (Elf), I've sent them an e-mail asking for an update.

Kinda fancy the 19' myself -- been looking at their website for about 6 months now. Hope to see one this summer, as I have friends in Wales who really need a visit from me...

Just spent a week on Lake Eustice in a 65lb sailing pram. In my quest for ever lighter sail powered transport I think something like Swallow Boat's 35lb "Sandpiper" should be my next design goal. The folks at Swallow Boats were very ingenious about rigging a sailboat that demands you keep your keester glued to the bottom at all times.
Too bad they don't sell plan's.
