I have a 60' older wood boat 70' overall. 60' x 18 beam. Yep the new upper house is ugly, but will take down once the remodel of the lower unit is done. Wood with glass over. I want a complete remodel on lower deck house (Mine is 10' wide x 14' long) and then another head and galley is separate and remodel the bridge wheel house. I want to expand the lower house into one long house from rail to rail. Where is the best place to take it, Honduras, Mexico, Guatemala. It has to be on the East Coast of these areas. I need good workmanship and of course a great price. What do you recommend? What do you think I might have to spend, I know that a hard to answer, but lets say what do you think i can expect to get for $20,000. More photos on http://cruisingwaterworld.com/70.html website in progress.

There is some discussion in this thread about work getting done down there: http://forum.woodenboat.com/showthread.php?130427-Rebuilding-my-50-schooner-in-Nicaragua

Yes I know the rates on west coast are higher, but I won't be going there anytime soon that's for sure. I need info on East Coast only. Mexico to Panama and anywhere in-between. Haiti, Cuba, etc. . . . . Thanks

When I take my trip south I am told that is is hard to get parts and more expensive for everything. Does that include wood etc. thanks.

Love the boat, but can't help you with yards in Central America. Captain Zatarra gave some details in the other thread.
