I started a thread in the designs section of this forum, hoping to hear from anyone who had built or owned the Sea Bird 2 design by William Garden, but had no luck and got very few replies.
The design was from the 70's; Mr. Garden drew it for The Rudder magazine. It was specifically for "homebuilders" and plywood construction.
It looks very appealing, and plywood construction seems particularly appropriate since good boatbuilding lumber is difficult to find and extremely expensive.
Is there any experience with this design out there? I'd sure like to see some pictures of the boats on the water. I'd like to discuss construction and sailing experiences with owners, too.
