Has anyone else who uses Gmail had a problem lately when trying to access your email? The last month or so, I've been having fits- I click on the Gmail, and wait... and wait, etc. etc. I'm even using Google Chrome as my browser, but have the same problem with XP. Any Geeks out there??? BTW, have you ever tried to contact Google? Impossible!!!

I have noticed it is slow loading but put it down to a local wifi problem.

I rarely use the web interface for GMail (only when I want to compose a longish e-mail and don't want to type it on my iPhone), but my personal domain e-mail is hosted there and I have had no problems such as you describe. Have you tried using an e-mail client instead of the web interface? Thunderbird plays well with GMail...

No issues here. Been using it for a few years. Works great on my android.

+1 for Gmail with Thunderbird, works flawlessly for me and I never see any spam. As for your problems, you might be a part of the user base that was affected by the recent alleged Chinese disruption (http://latimesblogs.latimes.com/technology/2011/03/gmail-missing-e-mails-login-problems-continue-into-fourth-day.html?cid=6a00d8341c630a53ef0147e2f80528970b). Seems Google is claiming that the problems stem from the Chinese government snooping for subversives (http://www.theregister.co.uk/2011/03/21/gmail_china_censor/) in it's efforts to snuff out free speech.

+1 (!) when accessing Gmail from work (via Verizon DSL... NOT my choice!) and somewhat from home with C/Cast, but not terrible from home.

Thunderbird is an email client from the Mozilla project (http://www.mozilla.org/), the same people that make Firefox, it's free and I love it. You can use it to access web based email like Gmail or Hotmail and it can also access your ISP based email, the one your internet service provider gives you when you subscribe.
