It seems that sedan runabouts used to be more popular in the 50's with Chris Craft and the like.

Modern 16-20 foot runabouts, both production glass and custom wood, seem to be almost 100% open cockpit designs, with little but a windshield for weather protection.

Here in the Puget Sound we need boats that protect you from the weather when you want to go boating in November.

Devlin's Noddy (http://www.devlinboat.com/dcnoddy.htm) is the only good modern example I've found. Anyone know of a slightly larger version of the same type?

Thanks!

Hugh, have you checked out Glen-L, or Clark Craft? I don't know if they've got what you want, but they have a lot of "vintage" boats. Another site you may not have seen is this one:

Svensons (http://www.svensons.com/boats/)

They have a lot of old plans from Boat Builder and Science and Mechanics magazines. For FREE no less :D

Hope they help.
