she still is a beautiful shape for an old Tugboat. And she's for sale on ebay for cheap:

She has been for sale off and on for a while. A lovely shape, and if the Kahlenburg was winterized properly, it should last the life of the tug.

Way cute

Looks like she's waiting for her buddy, Thomas (the Tank Engine)

It hurts to see the broken windows and grafitti. I hope someone rescues her soon.
More pictures, and a great tugboat blog: http://tugster.wordpress.com/2008/10/28/fourth-season-tug/

She's got a huge rudder!

That's a cool boat, all right. But what do you do with an engine that's about 5 times as big as you need for cruising? and 9' draft? and what happens to all that buoyancy if you downsize the engine?

We have a few hobby restored tugs here on the canal .The desirable candidates for restoration are under 50' with drafts around 6'. She has potential but that is a big tug and it takes big money to fix and run.

Cool boat. Wouldn't mind fixing her up, too bad she's so far away
