A couple of years or so ago I designed a little 9 1/2 foot dink. I laid it out for strip plank construction, then later for cold molding.
A few months ago I started laying out the lines for lapstrake, then got the idea to lay it out full size to check the drawings. Sorta bending over and lining off and I get a couple strakes done and I'm so outta breath that I have to sit down I shoulda learned how to do this on a computer. I are getting too old and wimpy.

Lining off laps on a drawing is a total PITA. Most builders do it on the molds anyway. Good challenge for the little grey cells though. Try building a cardboard birds nest model and line off on that, then re-fair on the drawing.

You're still an inspiration in my book. Hope you get to feeling stronger soon!
Edited to say that I'd love to see info/pics/drawings about all your boat ideas, designs and builds you've talked about here.

After a certain age, it's just patch, patch, patch!
The good news is that the can and do patch us up.
Keep plugging, Chuck.
