I'd noticed that train traffic seemed to be increasing here in St. Louis:

here is a pretty good railroad site where you can view the changes in different cargoes, railroads, etc....

I guess good news isn't interesting--should I amend the title to say "Obama's birth certificate found on tracks--researchers can't retrieve until train passes!"

63 people have looked at your thread as of this post. Is that not enough for you? What do you need from your posts?

Thanks for the good news leikec.

P.S., It is maybe worth noting that many of us are "closer" to rail shipping than we realize. If you order something that is shipped via UPS or FedEx Ground and it is moving long distance, chances are good that it will move a large part of the way by train...using those rigs where the put a semi-trailer right on a flat-bed car...

It's never enough. I need constant validation. It's the reason I've flooded the WBF with 718 posts over the last year and 2 months--in fact, there are forum members who started after me and have probably lost more than 700 posts due to inappropriate content during the same time period. My total post count is a slow week for Phillip Allen.

Thank you for saving me...for a while.
