Looking for plans for a flat bow pram built out of one sheet of plywood and possibly designed by Doublas Fir Assoc. in 1950's. Or other similar designs- approx. 8' in length.

I built one of those in about 1973. I found the plans in an encyclopedia, think it was Brittanica. Check the library.

I haven't heard of the specific design you mention. However, there are many, many small pram designs easily available. There was a post about 6 months ago comparing a number of them. I'm currently building one from a book titled "You Can Build Your Own Sailboat" by Donald and David Rouse, Harper & Row Publishers, Copyright 1965. Found the book in the library. Checkout www.boatdesigns.com (http://www.boatdesigns.com) for Ken Hankinson's design. Glen L also has one. So does Bolger.
IMHO all the ones I listed are good looking designs that can be made from a single sheet of plywood. Joel White's Nutshell pram looks much nicer but requires more work than the plywood sheet designs.

See my Cheap Pages:Short Boats link for a bunch of very simple boats ca 1875-date. Any planked boat can be made of ply. There are links to other sites with free boat plans.
