got my new dies and stuff for the new carbine yesterday. I ordered a standard type bullet but also some cast bullets to see if I should set up to cast my own...they likely won't work the action due to light pressure but that's fine with me...I'm just playing anyway

Say Phillip, why would you load them so light?

I had a friend who did his own reloading, his name was Lefty. LOL

Say Phillip, why would you load them so light?

start with light loads and work up (slowly) to hotter loads... that"s one reason
accuracy is more important to me than rat-a-tat-tat... accuracy will determine what load I like is the other reason

no doubt I will figure out a fully functional load but other things come first

no doubt I will figure out a fully functional load but other things come firstMy experience would lead me to believe that a 90% load should operate that gun perfectly and be a good safe baseline, why start lower than that?

sorry to answer with a question but...why guess at it?

I assumed that Mr. Allen was loading cast bullets light because a high-pressure load would lead the barrel. Not so?

certainly...the only reason to load the cast bullets is to attempt to discover how accurate they may be...velocity is unimportant to the search

Yup...then when all the folks get tired of playing they wander around and get nosy, and putting hands in your pockets or saddlebags, then try to get overly friendly,.Rapes have happened near the lake in Oklahoma (they have the guys) and one guy had his balls shot off. One motorcyclist is hobbling home tonight with the same problem. I wish the folks luck.
