I can't imagine working on building a schooner like this, outdoors, on one of these bitterly cold days. I got chilled just taking the photo!

a friend of my dad designed that. It was meant to have some more stations in between and masts i think, but mmm ran out of money with just the bow and the stern done.

I REALLY like it the way it is. The imagination soars trying to 'fill in the blanks'.

Wyoming, and the Lawson were owned for a while by the Sun Oil Company, which was kind enough to send me pix, prints, actually, of the two ships. Both, I have been led to understand, were in their service when they went deep.
