This poor beast has been yelping its lungs out for three hours. It's not close enough that it's a real bother, but I do wonder the story. It is obviously frightened and alone. I want to go sooth it, but how do you go about that?

Make him a hamburger and go for a visit.

I wait three hours because it's simply not my place.

That is a dumb answer.

4 hours now. Have you gone and checked on the dog yet?

Nothing like the classic Ish thread. What tangent to take, so many choices.

Is the dog still yelping?

Probably caught in a leg trap
Maine has some archaic stuff going on in the background

there was a dog yelping a couple days ago, a baby crying.

I know what I would do if a dog were yelping for 3 hours or more in my neighborhood.

But then I... I have taken the road less traveled. And that has made all the difference.

It's cold out, but I will probably put my boots on and go have a look see. A dog, barking so, usually means somehthing is wrong.

How did you make out? Find out what made poochie go barking?
