I know I've probably written about this before, so don't chastise me for that.

A modern romance film, set on the beach in the Carolinas. The priciples, Diane Lane and Richard Gere, do a good job.
They are both on the run, not from anything nefarious...marriage issues. There is also a sub-plot of people just not getting along well.

Good film making. On my recommended list.
Diane Lane, who has only come on my radar recently, is first rate.

I've been to Rodanthe, but never spent the night.

I guess people don't like Richard Gere.

Sam F. I've spent some time on the Outer Banks, 'though it's been awhile. When I was young and foolish I'd have a walkabout down that way once a year or so.

This is a good time down there. The tourist fever has largely died down and the beaches are largely empty. Not much for the sun bather, but if you like desolate beaches...

Why is that at the end of those romantic movies the man DIES!!!???

Message In A Bottle... Nights in Rodanthe....

Unrequited love cut down by death isn't all that much fun.
