We had a little exchange about hands on Ledger's thread.
I thought I'd share a little of my own handiwork.
I had the privilege of going to an "alternative" (some might say Hippie) school. When I was in 3rd grade I recall asking my wood shop teacher (see alternative schools have some cool stuff, like wood shop in 3rd grade!) if he had some better tools.
He told me that god had given me the best tools one could have. Tools that I could do anything with. I gave him a puzzled look, and he gestured to my hands..I never forgot that lesson.
A little off topic, but a look at the latest output of my hands. It's a chest, a gift to my lovely step daughter. It will be finished with a cedar lining and a very sweet single piece top. Crafted from Honduras Mahogany with a first (of six) coats of Linseed oil.
