its now 4 40am and i havent been able to sleep for awhile as the wind is roaring and the rain is incessant.
we now have the first cyclone of the season upon us.
tc tasha is off the coast and expected to cross at around 8am. fortunately its only a cat 1 at the moment so just a heck of a lot of wind and rain a plenty.
my house, being literally on the beach is copping the lot. the front of the house is all windows so with the street lamp outside on the boat ramp, i get to see just how bad the weather is...horizontal sheets of rain and the coconuts being whipped about. fortunately the cocnuts closest to my house are constantly de-nutted so theres no chance of flying nuts!
bosun is not attempting to go outside and is content to sit on his window bench and observe the wet weather.
a good start to the end of the year!:D

The weather's causing problems at this end of the planet, too. Wind, rain, flooding (but no coconut bombardment!) and another storm system due in a day or two. IIRC, it's one of those El Nino/La Nina events in the Pacific, which influence the weather over most of North America.

We had a merry Christmas, and I hope you did too!

yes christmas was fine.
but for many people the continued wet weather has spoiled many people's holiday plans.
a fair proportion of queensland is under water right now.
