I enjoyed reading the article "The first boat - starting from scratch" in WB number 181 about their home built Blue Jay.

The Blue Jay is the first boat I ever sailed and I have recently been thinking it would be nice to have one again.

I e-mailed Sparkman & Stephens some time ago about purchasing plans, but I received no reply. It seems strange that a design that was widely available to the home builder in the 50's cannot be obtained today.

Does anyone know how to obtain a set of plans for the Blue Jay?

Latest info I have (2001) is that plans are available for $50 from the International Blue Jay Class Association, P.O.Box 651, Mantoloking, NJ 08738, phone 732-295-0238. They may have a web site, too.
