I am considering building Glen-l's double eagle in plywood and epoxy encapsilation.I intend to use 70 hp.(around) diesel inboard.I am hoping to cruise at @ 14mph with good economy. Is this a good design, any comments would be appreciated, thanks.

Gidday there Bob...

Just went and had a bit of a sticky beak at the double eagle mate... she looks great... of course this depends on your intended use but she looks fine for what she is...

Seems theres other people who think shes a good design to... the examples they offer on the site are from Georgia USA to New York USA to... Lebanon!... so Id say she'd be a terrific little boat

But then Im the only one whos made any comments and Im no expert... Seems the resident experts have other things on their minds or are too busy elsewhere to respond.

You like her? You want to build her? You figure you can do it?... DO IT! smile.gif

Just remember to show us your handy work!! ;)

Take it easy
Shane

Bob: I hope you receive some comments from someone who has built one as I have been thinking about the double eagle as a next boat myself.

For those that would like to build a Double Eagle. I have a complete set of frames already built. They are built of tight grained fir & marine plywood. They are epoxy encapsulated and ready to set on a jig. I live in Pensacola,Fl. $150.00
