It's the only island on Earth close enough to Brazil to see it, but they can't drive here from there. ;)

Many, many years ago I found a little-known island in the Aegean. My girl and I were the only English-speaking people on the island. We stayed with a family named Spanos who taught me that "zesty" means "hot" in Greek, and that the calendar wasn't important.
If we threw caution to the winds we could spend as much as five dollars a day hanging out alone but for each other, on white sand beaches, swimming in the glass-clear sea, and drinking heavy, acerbic Greek wine. We peddled bicycles to see the marble quarry and the Valley of the Butterflies.
In the evening the only restaurant served thick soup and fresh-caught fish grilled over an open fire, and sometimes when the man with a bouzouki was inclined to play, men did dance like Zorba.
I won't go back, and I won't spoil it for you by telling the name of the island because it has changed since being Discovered.

Go with the flow: Open a T-shirt shop or moped rental agency and get rich.

Open a ...moped rental agency and get rich.

Can't. That's a big reason I live here:

What draws the amateur sailor is the island’s ban on motor vehicles. In their place, the primary form of transport is the boat.

We went for our morning walk and there was actually a tourist on the beach - and it wasn't even 8 am! There is no peace in this world...
