Purri,
I was thinking more along the lines of not dating several women in a few days and ignoring them after sex. a sure recipe for disaster.
but I'm sure that a seasoned Lothario like Dave knows this already:d

^ yeah well, umm, whatever you say. (but I did something twice where they wimmins met each other on the stairs on a Sundy arvo and another when....... well best not tell tales out of school eh?: but then again you wimmins need compliant partners be diplomatic less a brawl erupts between they men)
Classic Freudian performance envy ya know eh?

Doug, details would be nice, you were married once and know that we married folk live vicariously through you single folk.

Have fun, our hope you had fun if it happened last night . . .

Allison

But isn't that how Assange got into trouble with one or other of the partners in "date" texting and Twitter all their friends?
Dangerous path Dave:D

My apologies DOUG, I made a mistake about your name. I didn't want to use your title "horrid little man" doesn't go well with the idea of a lad out on the town!
Happens when I try to watch a movie and post at the same time!
Have fun?

I never really dated before I found myself married...16 years later I found myself divorced and some months later I had a "date". Only Dudly Moore could have played my part...I was freightened half to death

may i suggest a napI wish.
Too much to do after two weeks on the road. The house is a wreck, Christmas is looming and Scooter is really counting on Santa to pull out all the stops, the truck needs a thermostat, and someone thinks the ditch in front of my house is a beer can recycling center.
Nap? Yeah, good luck with that.

Thanks, but no. (I deserved that...)

I used to work for a guy named Dave who had just divorced his second wife. He swore up and down that he wouldn't remarry and wouldn't even date. He met a wonderful woman who shared the same interests he did (motorcycles, scuba diving and fast cars... - all of them believe it or not) and while they're not married, they might as well be.

Top Tips.
Comment on her good taste in shoes.
Do not mention your virtual freindīs request for bikini photos.
Do not say " shall we go home now".
Alternate wine with water.
Make her laugh, like we all know you can.:)

Congrats on the good news you are/is in the dating scene.

I can offer no advice as i have been married 36 years and it appears i know less about the Female of the species then when i foist started..

Best to not speak, listen and nod enthusiastically .

At least thats what my wife expects of me.

So was my father. My mother passed away when he was 82.. Started seeing someone who he was intoduced to by his optomitirist. Definately scared to death.

Blind dates can be interesting.

AFIK, it's mostly older folks... and guys from New Jersey - where the chemicals have messed up their endocrine systems.

I took a lady out on a sailing date at one time. On my snark. Since this was in Durango Colorado, no one knew what a real sailboat was supposed to look like, including me. The breeze got up and I had to turn pretty quick on a very small lake, do I said "duck". Well the boat was bouncing pretty good and the sail was snapping and she felt things were going badly, so in her mind she thought I said "jump". And over she went. I got her back aboard, and home, and gave her some dry clothes, but that was about all that night. I did get another chance, took her to a nice place to eat. Then we started a romance. Lasted about a year. Never went out in the boat with me again, but she would drive her old scout around up in the mountains while I drank beer and played her Kristofferson songs on my crappy guitar. I didn't sing and play guitar any better than I could sail, but she felt safer that way.

Hopefully Doug's date goes much better.

We had a very nice time and will be seeing each other again.
Nice to spend time with another grown-up once in a while.

The rest of the weekend is Scooter time though, and I'm just fine with that.
