Happy Birthday, Phyllis!

It looks like you still sign in, once in a while, so there's some hope that you'll see this. :)

You might be surprised to know how often I think of Norm.

Happy Birthday wishes from us, too. We'd love to hear some news of Prairie Islander sometime.

I got here too late to read or know him, but his legacy clearly lives on. Happy Birthday Phyllis!

Happy Birthday, Phyllis. There are an awful lot of people here who still miss Norm -- and Lynn too -- and would want to wish you a really good day anyway.

And I hope Christmas is a happy one for you too, with lots of the grand-neighbours dropping in to help you celebrate it.

Indeed, happy birthday ... what a small world, as your kids went to the same high school as me! Before you moved away ...

God bless you, ma'am!

Thank you all, for your good wishes and for your continued memories of Norm and Lynn. I do check in periodically, but I hadn't yet done so this month. It took a card from Ed Harrow to remind me. I continue to appreciate the masthead but know that someday, as memories wane, something else will be more appropriate. In the meantime, I value the tribute to Norm. Daniel (the main grand neighbor) tells me it is also the Wooden Boat's Facebook picture. Fancy that.

Prairie Islander seems content enough in lodgings that spare her from the weather although I'm sure she'll be happier when she is returned to water. Wes started shaping the bowsprit this year but was interrupted by a variety of medical problems that seem related to his now being over fifty years old. His complaints about this attack on his "normal good nature" brought nothing but laughter and jeers from his friends. I'm sure he'll return to that project when the sun shines in Oregon and his physical therapist releases him. After that is done, I have a feeling he may come to you for support and suggestions as he deals with a huge learning curve.

Ivy and Charlia (LAMESS') widow and daughter are, as usual, delighting me by sharing their Christmas holiday here.

Thanks, again, for your good wishes. I hope you all have a great holiday.
